Michael Liddy
Board Chairman
Michael Liddy is presently the Chairman of the Advisors to the Paul Finnimore Trust and has been an advisor to the Trust since 5 September 2018.
Michael is as barrister in private practice in Brisbane. His family and the Finnimore family have been friends from before he was born.
Michael’s areas of professional practice include advising charities and not-for-profits and the administration of trusts including charitable trusts. He has served as a director of a trustee of one of Queensland’s largest philanthropic foundations.
Michael is the father of four grown-up children. He attended Villanova between 1980 and his graduation in 1982.
Peter Finnimore
Trustee & Member of Board of Advisors
Peter Finnimore spent over 25 years in commercial roles in the mining industry. He recently returned to Brisbane where he lives with his family and enjoys camping, hiking, reading and all things sport.
He is currently a member of the Board of ASX listed Walkabout Resources and, on a voluntary basis, three not-for profits: Villanova College, Inspiring Brighter Futures Foundation and the Paul Finnimore Trust (where he is
Trustee). He is also a volunteer at Milpera State High School.
Peter holds a Bachelor of Commence and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Queensland. He is a member of the Institute of Company Directors and has previously served as a director of both the International Aluminium Institute and the International Nickel Institute.
Andrew White
Member of Board of Advisors
Andrew has worked in the financial services industry since 1986 and has been with BDO Private Wealth Advisers Pty Ltd since 1999. He consults to and serves on the boards of private and family-owned businesses on investment matters. Andrew also sits on an Investment Advisory Committee for a large private school in Brisbane.
Patrick Atkinson
Member of Board of Advisors
Pat Atkinson has been a teacher at Villanova College for over 30 years and an advisor to the Trust for over 10 of those years. As an experienced teacher, it has been his happy privilege to actively contact schools that have students that could benefit from the work of the Trust.
Kelson Lee
Member of Board of Advisors
Kelson has been a primary school educator at Villanova College, Coorparoo since 2015. She has a keen interest in providing students, especially those experiencing social disadvantage, access to opportunities for them to reach their potential. She is a long-standing family friend of the Finnimores, spanning three generations. Kelson has been an Advisor to the Paul Finnimore Trust since October, 2013.
